SANDISK UNVEILS THE WORLD'S HIGHEST CAPACITY MicroSD™ CARD

 

Sanddisk said it pulled off the higher capacity by an innovative design and production process that gives way to more bits of memory per chip. Details of the process weren't made known but the capacity of the card gives insight as to how near it has come to today standard of manufacturing
technology........

   Typically, the memory chips are sized in powers of 2, with upgrade such as 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB respectively. With that sequence, the result would be a 256GB chip,but as it appears Sandsik wasn't able to do that, Rather, it went for 200GB.
   Being able to achieve such a feat by fitting that much storage space into a card smaller than a USIM is a huge achievement. Data transfer of up to 90MB per second is supported on the card or close to 1,200 photos per minute.
   Availability will be around the second quarter of the year for a price of $400.
